Problems With Transparent Proxies
Many ISPs are installing transparent proxies to handle web traffic. Some of
them cause the SETI@home client to be unable to contact the server. Usually
this is reported as an "Error -20;0". The work around is to specify the
address of the proxy server for your ISP in the SETI@home proxy settings.
We are collecting names of proxy servers for ISPs that are having this problem
and adding them to this page.
In addition to checking here, you may want to inform your ISP of the problem.
